The Kyber Open

The Kyber Open is located in Lake Nona Florida only about 15 minutes from the Orlando Airport or MCO. The Kyber Knight/Amazon Charter has been hosting similar events as part of their Suncrusher Series events for the last 5 years. Each year they come up with even more ways to include and engage with the sabering community. This year will be no different as they are using the new Split Bracket System to make sure everyone gets in as many standard fights as possible.

The Kyber Open is a 2 day event, although most fighters arrive Friday and leave either Sunday night late or Monday morning. Unless of course, they are taking a day to go to the local parks: Parks here meaning Disney World or Universal Studios. The event boast 4 Division types, and the only hosting of the Tag Team Division outside of International Annual tournament in Vegas. There is a local hotel that offers discounted rooms as well as transportation to and from the event. The Kyber Open has always had some of the most diverse prizes available to win, and this year is 100% promoted and hosted with The SUNSHINE STATE GAMES. The Sunshine State Games sunshinestategames.com/saber/ The Sunshine State Games is Florida's own Olympic-style sports festival created for amateur athletes of all ages and skill levels. The ultimate goal of the Games is to provide an opportunity and incentive for all amateur athletes in the State of Florida to develop their physical talents and competitive abilities. This grassroots level competition has been the beginning for many of Florida's champions. |

Where to stay?
Our friends at the Sunshine State Games have reserved to hotel room blocks for all our out of area fighters who are traveling in . The Holiday Inn is the closest and where we stayed last year so I can highly recommend them. The morning breakfast was wonderful, the facilitated fighters arrival and departure at the airport and even brought us to the site location for XL Soccer in Lake Nona. Online Reservation Link
